NOREETUH

Opened in 2015 by a group of Thomas Keller alums, noreetuh is a casual Hawaiian-inspired restaurant in Manhattan’s East Village.  noreetuh serves a menu of familiar Hawaiian favorites updated with Japanese, Korean and Filipino influences.

Logo Design
Tasked with creating a brand identity that was modern, approachable and not overly kitschy, Agentsie arrived at a clean type-driven solution for the restaurant logo, paired with a geometric pattern of hexagons. The five-sided shapes applied to menu/wine list covers as well as brand business cards and stationary subtly reference the five Hawaiian Islands and the patterned backs of sea turtles often found on local beaches. In addition, the geographic motif echoes the design of an illuminated feature wall which acts as a fixture of the restaurant space. A color palette referencing cool natural elements was used to balance the interior's grey cement and dark wood finishes.
